The 2018 Mini John Cooper Works Countryman All4 has been revealed, becoming the most poweful model yet from the brand.
A 2.0L inline-four turbocharged engine pumps out 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque through a standard six-speed manual transmission to all four-wheels. An eight-speed automatic transmission for people who hate fun and wish to negate the key feature of owning a Mini (that being the handling.) This not-so-Mini will take 6.2 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
The manual comes with rev-matching, here obfuscated by the “active engine speed adaptation” label which is a dick way of saying “rev-matching.” The eight-speed comes with flappy-paddles, launch control and a wedgie.
