Buick has finally revealed the details on the upcoming Regal GS. Starting at $39,900 gets a new V6, Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and a considerable power increase over the outgoing model.
The 310HP/282LB-FT of torque offers 51 more ponies than the previous GS. Power’s now sent to all four-corners of the car instead of just powering the two steering tires. The V6 is attached to a nine-speed active twin-clutch automatic.
Brembo brakes comes standard, which may be necessary to bring everything to a timely stop. Buick may finally be dropping their image as a geriatric boulevard-cruiser, but their vehicles are still a long way from being svelte.
Positioned as a more luxurious alternative to the mainstream offerings yet much better priced than the luxury competition, Buick hope to further their sports-sedan credentials.
