Lamborghini has officially announced the release of the long-rumoured Urus crossover. The Urus (plural for urethra) will be available for Europe at the end of this year while North America gets it for the third-quarter of 2018.
Looking to capitalize on the success of luxury-sports-SUV market filled with oversized Porsches, the Urus stays pretty true to the Lamborghini family. Just as, you know, a truck.
A twin-turbo V8 produces 650HP routed to all four-wheels. A plug-in hybrid(?) will be available sometime next year, supposedly. It’s assumed that Lambo will take advantage of their current hybrid technology that they’re so lauded for.
Price has yet to be announced but let’s just say it’ll cost, oh, a billion dollars.
