Tesla Announce, er, Mention Model Y

The Model 3 isn’t even available yet Tesla have announced their next non-commercial vehicle, the Model Y.

That’s also pretty much all we know about it.

Originally announced two years ago to be on the same platform as the 3 and with the same falcon doors as the X, the first point has been refuted and the second unacknowledged.

A new platform will apparently be built, with Tesla taking some of the lessons they applied to Model 3 (simplify: you don’t need sensors and motors in every component) and applying them even further as to allow for easier production with the intended goal of reaching it’s sales goal of a million vehicles by 2020.

Tesla also recently announced an autonomous transport trailer as well as a rumoured pickup track and new roadster.
